Azamgarh: Hafiz Iltifat, a prominent social worker of village Visham Mirzapur in Block Muhammadpur, aged about 90 years, passed away at his residence in Lucknow on Monday evening at around 8:00 pm. On Tuesday morning his body was brought to his native village Visham Mirzapur, where the body was buried in the village cemetery in the evening.At 2:30 pm his Namaz-e-Janaza was offered by Hazrat Maulana Laik Sahab near the former graveyard of Idgah. After offering Namaz, his body was buried in the graveyard behind his own college Hafiz Ittefat.As soon as this news reached Vishham Mirzapur in Azamgarh, there was an uproar among the family members. There was a continuous stream of people coming to offer their condolences at his home in Azamgarh, from Mumbai to every nook and corner of the country, from politicians to businessmen, social workers and politicians, all reached his home to express their condolences. Let us tell you that Hafiz Iltifat, a resident of village Vishham Mirzapur of Block Muhammadpur of Azamgarh district, is a prominent industrialist of Lucknow and Mumbai, and was also involved in politics. He was a very close friend of former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and Samajwadi founder Mulayam Singh Yadav, and was also a prominent social worker. His demise has saddened industrialists of Azamgarh district and those living in different states. Prominent among those who expressed condolences at his ancestral residence Vishham Mirzapur on Tuesday were Arshad Siddiqui, Chairman – Red Crescent Society of India, former minister and senior BJP leader Dr. Krishna Murari Vishwakarma, Samajwadi Party Maharashtra State President Abu Asim Azmi, MLA Alambardi, Kamalkant Rajbhar, Nafish Ahmed, MP Daroga Prasad Saroj, National Industries owner Abdullah Sheikh, former MLA Adil Sheikh, social worker Munib Sheikh, senior SP leader Imran Ahmed, Shahid, etc. were present. Red Crescent Society of India Chairman Arshad Siddiqui said that Hafiz Iltifat was an industrialist as well as a prominent social worker. He was always our guide, he was full of humanity, he was always ready to help the poor and the oppressed, his demise has caused an irreparable loss to the society.
