Azamgarh:Since taking charge of the Sarayameer police station area of ​​Azamgarh district, Station House Officer (SHO) Inspector Bhuvnesh Kumar Choubey has been continuously waging a strict campaign against crime and anti-social elements. Upon assuming office, he initiated intensive checking campaigns, instilling fear among criminals and a sense of security among the general public. In this context, a peace committee meeting was held on Sunday evening in the Sarayameer police station premises, chaired by Station House Officer (SHO) Inspector Bhuvnesh Kumar Choubey. The meeting was held in anticipation of the upcoming important festivals such as Mahashivratri, Ramzan, Eid, and Holi. Village heads, area council members, business community, and prominent and elite members of the area were present. Addressing the meeting, Station House Officer (SHO) Inspector Bhuvnesh Kumar Choubey stated categorically that any type of disturbance, riot, or unrest will not be tolerated during the festivals. The police are closely monitoring anti-social elements and will take the strictest legal action against those who disrupt the peace. He appealed to responsible citizens from both communities to maintain mutual harmony and immediately inform the police if they notice any suspicious activity, so that timely action can be taken. He also called for the installation of CCTV cameras in temples and mosques to further strengthen security. During the meeting, residents of the town and villagers also raised their concerns, demanding increased police patrolling during school and college closing times, increased surveillance of miscreants, and a ban on unnecessary gatherings of youth at neighborhood shops after 10 p.m. The Station House Officer listened to all concerns seriously and assured appropriate action.
