Mumbai:Bloody Ishq, which premiered a year ago, pushed boundaries — not just on screen but also for its lead actors Avika Gor and Vardhaan Puri. As the thriller clocks in its first anniversary, the stars revisit what went into making the film, how it transformed them, and why the journey continues to hold a special place in their hearts.
In an exclusive chat with a leading portal, Avika Gor and Vardhaan Puri shared their excitement about their film Bloody Ishq completing a year. Avika Gor who wowed audiences with her emotionally charged portrayal, shared: “It’s hard to believe one year has flown by since Bloody Ishq premiered. Working on this film pushed me beyond my comfort zone, especially the underwater stunts I’d never attempted before, yet they’re moments I’ll never forget. Collaborating again with Vikram sir and Mahesh Bhatt felt like joining a close-knit creative family, and being trusted with such a complex role humbled me every day. Sharing screen space with Vardhaan Puri was a joy. We both gave a part of ourselves to this story, and I’m so proud of what we created together.”
Vardhaan Puri echoed the sentiment, saying, “Exactly a year ago, this film was ours but now it belongs to the audience. Bloody Ishq has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life, filled with so much learning and immense love from the viewers. Working with legends like Mahesh Bhatt sahab, Vikram Bhatt sir, Avika Gor, and an incredibly gifted crew was nothing short of magical. I made real friends, shared emotional moments, and grew tremendously under Vikram sir’s direction, a true genius. Bhatt sahab, on the other hand, was my spiritual guide and mentor on set. Honestly, I’m just hoping we get to make Bloody Ishq 2, reunite, and create something even edgier. Above all, I’m full of gratitude.”
With a visionary new filmmaker at the helm and the guidance of seasoned creatives, Bloody Ishq merged bold themes with raw, heartfelt performances. As both actors Avika Gor and Vardhaan Puri evolve in their careers, audiences remain curious and hopeful about what’s next, perhaps even a sequel.
