’’Perfect Time, Perfect Strike”: Harleen Kaur Rekhi Backs Operation Sindoor Shrimad Ramayan actress Harleen Kaur Rekhi has called Operation Sindoor a timely and necessary response to the recent terror attack in Pahalgam. Known for her cultural work and activism in conflict-hit areas, Harleen’s statement reflects a firm stance on national security and a call for peace. “Yes, it was the perfect time and the perfect strike carried out by PM Modi and our armed forces in the early hours of Wednesday,” Harleen said. “It was high time we reacted, retaliated, and took steps to protect ourselves, our country, and our people.” From playing Mandodari in the television series Shrimad Ramayana to portraying Mata Seeta in the stage production Humare Ram, Harleen Kaur Rekhi has used her public platform to raise awareness on social issues. “I always have and had faith in our defense capabilities,” she said, that the operation didn’t restore her belief but confirmed the strength she has long trusted. “I am proud of the decision taken by PM Modi regarding this operation,” Harleen continued. “I salute all our armed forces — be it the Chiefs of Defence, the Army, the Navy, or the Air Force. Everyone who led and contributed to this operation has delivered justice for what happened in Pahalgam.” While supporting the military action, Harleen also stressed the need to break the cycle of violence. “I sincerely wish and pray for peace, and I hope this bloodshed comes to an end. It’s always better to live in peace and allow others to live in peace too,” she said. She directed a pointed message at Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir: “It’s high time Pakistan and POK realize that these actions serve no purpose. Peace is the only way forward. Let us Indians live in peace.” Harleen concluded with a salute to those involved in the operation: “Hats off to our Armed Forces, hats off to PM Modiji, and hats off to everyone involved in this successful operation. We love you, we salute you. Jai Hind.” Her remarks capture a blend of conviction, concern, and clarity — grounded in her long-standing engagement with both cultural narratives and national issues.
